Main duties of a senior care worker are:

  • Routinely lead the shift and monitors care workers and ancillary staff

  • Takes responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty;

  • Create and maintain care plans;

  • Manage medications;

  • Responds to emergencies and provides guidance and support to care workers;

  • Assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe;

  • Generally assists with service users’ including but not limited to overall comfort, wellbeing and activities of daily living;

  • Undertakes light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required;

  • Monitors service users’ conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping;

  • Liaises with professional staff, make appropriate referrals

CARE ASSISTANT RECRUITMENT

Care assistants are more involved in the hands-on-care and supports the supports the service users with their activities of daily living. 

Main duties of a senior care worker are:

  • All aspects of personal care such as showering and bathing, dressing and grooming, dental hygiene, toileting and continence care. 

  • Supporting the customer to eat and drink well. For example, helping the customer to plan what to eat and drink, giving gentle encouragement, shopping, preparing and serving food and drinks, clearing the table, washing up and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy, agreeing with the customer how to store food safely and when to dispose of out of date produce. 

  • Safely using aids and personal equipment in a manner that respects the dignity of customers. 

  • Housework such as dusting, tidying, washing floors, vacuuming and sweeping, doing the laundry and ironing, making beds and changing the linen. 

  • Social and physical activities or mental stimulation such as keeping in touch with friends/relatives, taking a customer out shopping or to social activities, hobbies such as reading, photo albums, games, etc

  • Comply with Record keeping policy

Salary: 

Minimum £10.75 per hour and it varies with the employer and the experience of the candidate. 

Contract:

Contract is for 5 years and you get to work at least 40 hours/ week.

Overtime hours will be available if you wish to pick them

Location:

We recruit to various locations in the UK. The candidate will be given the full details of the location and employer if they wish to process via us.

The ideal course would be a full-time BSc Nursing degree or a Diploma nursing programme that is at least three years in length.​

3. Experience/Reference Letter 

The ideal applicant must provide a minimum of 2 references covering the last 3 years.

4. UKVI Language proficiency  (UKVI or Ecctis): 

You must prove you can read, write, speak and understand English to at least level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale.

  1. Tuberculosis (TB)  Certificate
